Rob has been involved in technology investments for over 10 years.
He began his career at Rabobank, where he worked as an auditor, business controller and treasury controller. From banking he moved on to recruitment consulting at Michael Page. In 2000 he joined the Brabant Development Agency, where he managed the Technostartersfonds until 2005. Rob built the fund’s investment portfolio and was responsible for follow-on investments and exits. During that same time, he served as the statutory director for Startfonds, managing the fund’s final investments and their subsequent successful sale.
In 2006, Rob founded the TechnoStars seed fund with eight other investors. During his seven years there as a managing partner, he invested in eighteen high-tech startup companies. He left TechnoStars in 2014 to begin his own valuation and consulting business.
Rob has a master’s degree in business economics. He has been a chartered accountant since 2005 and a certified business valuator since 2011. He currently holds several board positions and serves on the screening committee at the Starterslift incubator. He is also actively involved in the NextOEM high-tech accelerator program.
