Chris Schaeffer
Chris helps organizations create business plans.
Chris has over 25 years of experience in large and small companies, predominantly in semiconductors and software. He started with Philips Electronics as a research scientist and went on to a variety of roles managing technology road-mapping and execution, technical marketing, business development and sales. After Philips/NXP he worked in various start-ups, covering software, consumer devices and biotech and advised small to medium-size companies as a consultant. In these various roles he managed the project that reduced the technology lag from 2 years to on-par with the industry. He identified and realized savings of over $50 million in the implementation of the 0.25 um technology generation. In business development and sales he lead the negotiations for the supplier agreement between NXP Semiconductors and Microsoft, generating revenues in excess of $100M and continuing to this day.
Chris has worked and lived in Europe, Asia and since 2001 in the United States, where he lived in Silicon Valley for 11 years.
Chris holds a MSEE of the Delft University of Technology and a MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
